[Scenario]
A local user requests file restoration from vSphere back ups. Related DB can be restored but when trying to adding the storage to a virtual server, the back up DB does not appear in the available DB list.
[Objectives]
Figure out why the back up DB does not appear and proceed DB restoration
[Remediation]
It turns out that back up storage is only available in the same ESXi host.
Go to the virtual server properties and check host name in "Related Objects" tab.
In the back up process, select DB then select "Mount Backup"
On ESXi host list box, select the host name in which the virtual server is hosted.
Finally, it appears to the DB list.
