[Network] Connecting Cisco Switch via Console Cable

[Scenario]

Network switch not working with "SYST " led blinking which indicates that the switch has no IOS or the bootloader can’t  find it. Need to connect console cable to the device and figure out what is the issue then restore the switch

 

[Objectives]

Restore Cisco catalyst 2960 switch with console cable connected

 

[Remediation]

- Connected console cable to the switch

 

- Set com port in device management as below

 

- Ran Putty and set serial communication

 

- Restarted the swich
